Day 26 — Have you ever thought about giving up on life? If so, when and why?

I think about giving up everyday.  Then I think about my family and the thought goes right out of my head.  I could never, ever leave them behind.  Nuff Said.

Something unique you love about your significant other.

A few weeks ago Mama Kats writing workshop topic was Something unique you love about your significant other. Well this is what I think.

I love my husband very, very much, and I must say that he is one Unique individual.  My husband is one in a billion.  I can garentee that you that you will never find anyone exactly like him.  He's a Jack of all Trades, he is Farm-boy to the core and is Full Blooded REDNECK!

He can fix almost anything, and is the hardest working person that I have ever known. He supports his family and never tries to let us down.  He's the man of my Dreams for now and forever.

What I think is unique about him is that he can do anything but two things.  What two things can't he do.

Well first he can't win at  UNO.  No matter how he tries he never wins.

2nd he hates technology-yep the one thing that I love most.  Although he doesn't get the countless hours I spend blogging, tweeting, or updating my Facebook status, I love that he is simple and technology has not changed him in anyway, shape or form.  He has no idea who posted, tweeted or blogged about who, what, where, when or why.  Unless that person actually called him on the phone and told him what happened.  He is pretty much clueless about anything unless it has a motor, involves farming or fixing, carpentry or involves hard labor.

He's one in a billion and thats what I think is unique about him.

Day 25 -30 Days of Truth...The reason you believe you’re still alive today.

I look at life as its a book and each day you turn the page, finish a chapter and then start a new one.  Until one day you reach the end of your book.

I live each day like there is no tomorrow and try not to let things bother me.

Life is short, Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably, And never regret anything that made you smile..

Day 24 — Make a play list to someone, and explain why you chose all the songs.

My Playlist is for my Husband.  But as you know he will probably never see this unless I read it to him.

Meet in the Middle by -Diamond Rio.  This song was our song when we were in 9th Grade.  And though there weren't 700 fence post between his house and mine we had a Gravel Road and a Cemetery.

Tyler- By Davis Daniel.Because this is the name of our son and it was popular when he was born 15 years ago.

Smile -By Uncle Kracker.  The lyrics say it all:
You´re better then the best
I´m lucky just to linger in your light
Cooler then the flip side of my pillow that´s right
Completely unaware
Nothing can compare to where you send me
Lets me know that it´s ok
Yeah it´s ok
And the moments when my good times start to fade

You make me smile like the sun
Fall outta bed
Sing like a bird
Dizzy in my head
Spin like a record
Crazy on a Sunday night

You make me dance like a fool
Forget how to breathe
Shine like gold
Buzz like a bee
Just the thought of you can drive me wild
Oh, you make me smile

Even when you´re gone
Somehow you come along
Just like a flower poking through the sidewalk crack and just like that
You steal away the rain and just like that

You make me smile like the sun
Fall outta bed
Sing like a bird
Dizzy in my head
Spin like a record
Crazy on a Sunday night

You make me dance like a fool
Forget how to breathe
Shine like gold
buzz like a bee
Just the thought of you can drive me wild
Oh, you make me smile

Don´t know how I lived without you
'Cuz every time that I get around you
I see the best of me inside your eyes
You make me smile
You make me dance like a fool
Forget how to breathe
Shine like gold
Buzz like a bee
Just the thought of you can drive me wild

You make me smile like the sun
Fall outta bed
Sing like bird
Dizzy in my head
Spin like a record
Crazy on a Sunday night

You make me dance like a fool
Forget how to breathe
Shine like gold
Buzz like a bee
Just the thought of you can drive me wild
Oh, you make me smile

Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not - by Thompson Square.  When my Hubs and I were just friends and trying to figure out if we were more then that.  My friend Megan used to ask "Bill" thats what she called him "Are you gonna kiss Martha and get this over with or what?"

Day 23- 30 Days of Truth...Something you wish you had done in your life

Well I wish I had gone to College!  See back in the day I really, really wanted to go but my parents did not have the funding for it and if I wanted to go, I would have had to pay for it myself.  Which knowing what I know now that I did not know then I would have done it.  However, I did not.

I moved out of the comforts of my parent’s house at the age of 17, moved in with my hubby-the Boyfriend at the time, got a real job, and experienced what life was really like.

I think some day’s me not having a BA or BS behind my name limits me to the opportunities that are out there.  However, my real life experience will kick the crap out of a fresh out of College Grad.  I always tell people "I graduated from the School of Hard Knocks and I have a Degree in BS" That’s "Bullshit" for all of you that are not aware what BS is short for!

So my need for continuing my education and knowledge via online class’s, webinars, seminars blogging and Social Media event and other Geek Related Venues keeps me on my toes and also makes me wonder if I should go back to school and put the BS behind my name.

If you could change anything about your pet, what would it be?

As you all know I love my dog.  She is more then just a dog she is part of the family.  Really she doesn't know that she is a dog; she thinks she is human.

Mama Kat's writing prompt this week ask " If you could change anything about your pet, what would it be?"

I would give Diesel the ability to talk.  Most times we just talk for her.  She give you a look that explains everything.  When she is discussed she mumbles "um-hum" or just shrugs hers shoulders or breathes deep.

I would love to give her the ability to speak in the human language.  Then when I tuck her in at night she could tell me "Thank you Mama-I love you" but for now I will have to settle with the "Um-hum"

Now if I could get the cats (all 5 of them) to stop jumping on the car and to go outside to go potty all would be good in my world.

Day 22- 30 Days of Truth... Something you wish you hadn't done in your life.

There is nothing really that stands out to me that I wish I had never done in my life.

I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason and you learn from all the things that you do.

Now there are things that I wish I never had to go through but again those experiences made me stronger and are the backbone to who I am today.  Without having gone though them I really don't think I would be as strong, knowable or caring as I am today.

Wordless Wednesday....Daddy I like what I see!

Daddy, I like what I see!

Day 21-30 Days of Truth... (scenario) Your best friend is in a car accident and you two got into a fight an hour before. What do you do?

I'd get my ass to the hospital and tell her how sorry I am and hope that she can forgive me.!

This reminds me of when my Best Girl Friend and I got into a huge fight.  It was not to long ago when it happened and what made us get back together was a high school friend who had lost her life to cancer.  It really hit home and I could not stop thinking "What If" that would have been her!  I could not have lived with myself having her not know how sorry I was for doing something so stupid.

I love my Best Friend with all my heart and it broke my heart when she would not talk to me.  Things were said and feelings were hurt but I knew how I felt about her deep down and I didn't not want to loose that friendship and I truly could not live without her knowing how sorry I was.

It took sometime but we eventually worked things out and are back in each others life.  We need each other and cherish that we were given a second chance at our friendship.

I truly don't know what I would do without her and I know she feels the same.  She's my Best Friend and I am so lucky to have gotten the chance for her to forgive me and move on and be the friends that we are today!

Love You Dear!

Day 20- 30 Days of Truth...Your views on drugs and alcohol.

30 Days of Truth
Flat out I will tell you that I don't like Drugs! I don't like the drugs that are illegally or the ones that are legal and you get from a Doctor.  I don't believe in them and would much rather lay-down and sleep to fix whats wrong with me then take something.

I have mixed feeling on Alcohol.  I think casual drinking is fine.  I like Baily's with my Moo-Latte every once in a while and I don't see anything wrong with drinking socially.

I do have a problem with people forcing you to drink and drinking when it takes over your life.

Thank you for responding Joey,

If you think you can help then lets see what you can do.

I think you know buy reading my blog post that I am not happy and have a good handle on what has happened. Basically Century link has been paying Dish Network for the last 3 months and not Directv.

You tell me why and fix it and then I will write a new blog post about how you helped and made things right.

My old account number was XXX-XXX-XXXX-XXX ( before things went bad) XXX-XXX-XXXX-XXX is the new account number where everything went bad.

I tried live chat but I didn't get anywhere but upset because the rep was not listening to me.  That is why I know I will have to call.

You tell me what you can do and will go from there.

Hi Carrey,

Thank you for responding to my comment.  Sorry I wasn't able to assist on Saturday evening, but I am only in the office Monday-Friday.  Looking at your account, the rep that changed your service to standalone DSL should have advised you to contact Dish to cancel their service and also should have provided you with your new account number.  You also should not have lost DSL connectivity, so something must have gone wrong.  Since the DSL outage was a few months ago I don't think we can figure out why it went out now.  Regarding your Dish billing, since you've been billed $185.97 for that service and haven't used it I've issued a credit on your CenturyLink account for that amount.  I know you don't want a credit on your account, but for now it will apply toward the current balance which is $104.52 and once it posts later today I can see about mailing you a refund check if needed.  The refund check would take 7-14 business days to be received, but if you want this option let me know.  Since you've cancelled with Dish you should not have any additional Dish billing after this month and should receive a prorated credit back to the day of disconnection.  This credit most likely would be on a statement provided directly from Dish, but I'll monitor your next CenturyLink statement to see if it's on our end (I've seen it happen both ways).  As for the Dish charges to send the equipment back, that's their policy and unfortunately there's nothing I can do to help that.  So with that said, this is what I can do for you.  Hopefully this will save you the trouble from having to call in.  Let me know what you think and we can proceed.  Thanks.

Re: [One Girl Ideas] New comment on Century Link Sucks!.

Joey,

Thank you for your help.  I do appreciate it and I thank you for not haven to waste my time again with all this crap.

I will accept the credit on my account.  Dish did not mention any sort of refund. I will keep my eye open for it but I have never gotten a bill from them so I don't expect any sort of statement from them.

I do have one more question though.  Why has century link not been paying Directv?  I asked them the same question and they told me because I was bundled threw century link that the payment should be coming directly from century link.  Please advise.

Will I have to continue to pay them directly or will Century link be paying them from this point forward?

Thanks!
Carrey

Hi Carrey.  We are not yet offering a true "bundled" bill with Directv.  We had originally planned to do this late in 2010, but it's been delayed to October 2011 right now.  You'll get a $5 credit on your DTV bill, but until then they will remain seperate.  I'm pretty sure the call centers were originally advised that the combined billing would happen in late 2010, but now they are having to retrain agents to make sure they advised customers that bills won't be combined until later this year.  So for now you'll pay them and us seperately.  And thanks for giving me the chance to help.  I appreciate that =)

Re: [One Girl Ideas] New comment on Century Link Sucks!.

Joey,

Thank you for clearing this up.  I'm glad that somebody would tell me the truth about what happened.  I think customers that switched to this bundle should have been called or sent a letter to explain that the customer would be responsible to pay the bill and not to rely on Century Link. Would cut down on all the very upset customers.

What needs to happen now is for my bill to reflect that and me not be charged for both TV and DSL.  My current bill should be nowhere near the $104.52-that would be way to much for just internet! ;-)

Please let me know what my new bill will be each month for just the DSL.

I am happy that someone at Century link has a heart and care enough to take care of its customers.  Joey you are one in a million-I wish every customer Service rep was like you.

Hey it's no problem at all.  Going forward the DSL only should be $34.95 plus taxes and with taxes probably no more than $40 give or take a dollar.  The next bill should be good to go, but it doesn't print until Feb 18th so we'll have to wait until then to see.  Thanks again for letting me help, if you know anyone else that needs assistance feel free to give them my contact info.  I also have it so you shouldn't be billed for the Dish return boxes now as well :)  Any other questions let me know.
