What would it take for you to pick up and move?

I ask myself this every time we visit Steamboat Springs Colorado, and the answer always used to be my son.  But this year my son went with us to visit the great beauty and wanted to know why we didn't move out there after the first time we visited over 10 years ago.  I really didn't have an answer for him, other then the because of you.

So I asked him if we could move and he said lets go home, grab our stuff and never look back.

As much as I would love to do that, it just not that simple.

Sure me and the hubs could get new jobs, but I really don't want to have to have my son switch schools again.  I did that to him way to much when he was younger and now that we have him back where he belongs he has good grades, great friends and is on the football team, plays in the band and for once I don't have to worry about him.

And to me that is enough to keep us here for at least another 3 years.  When the time comes for him to graduate and go to college, the hubs and I will make the decision to make the big move to Colorado.  Until then, I will be content with my 5 acre plot of land just outside Hutchinson, MN.

Now that being said, if I got my dream job offered to me I would have to reconsider.

Something unique you love about your significant other.

A few weeks ago Mama Kats writing workshop topic was Something unique you love about your significant other. Well this is what I think.

I love my husband very, very much, and I must say that he is one Unique individual.  My husband is one in a billion.  I can garentee that you that you will never find anyone exactly like him.  He's a Jack of all Trades, he is Farm-boy to the core and is Full Blooded REDNECK!

He can fix almost anything, and is the hardest working person that I have ever known. He supports his family and never tries to let us down.  He's the man of my Dreams for now and forever.

What I think is unique about him is that he can do anything but two things.  What two things can't he do.

Well first he can't win at  UNO.  No matter how he tries he never wins.

2nd he hates technology-yep the one thing that I love most.  Although he doesn't get the countless hours I spend blogging, tweeting, or updating my Facebook status, I love that he is simple and technology has not changed him in anyway, shape or form.  He has no idea who posted, tweeted or blogged about who, what, where, when or why.  Unless that person actually called him on the phone and told him what happened.  He is pretty much clueless about anything unless it has a motor, involves farming or fixing, carpentry or involves hard labor.

He's one in a billion and thats what I think is unique about him.

If you could change anything about your pet, what would it be?

As you all know I love my dog.  She is more then just a dog she is part of the family.  Really she doesn't know that she is a dog; she thinks she is human.

Mama Kat's writing prompt this week ask " If you could change anything about your pet, what would it be?"

I would give Diesel the ability to talk.  Most times we just talk for her.  She give you a look that explains everything.  When she is discussed she mumbles "um-hum" or just shrugs hers shoulders or breathes deep.

I would love to give her the ability to speak in the human language.  Then when I tuck her in at night she could tell me "Thank you Mama-I love you" but for now I will have to settle with the "Um-hum"

Now if I could get the cats (all 5 of them) to stop jumping on the car and to go outside to go potty all would be good in my world.

Mama Kat's Writing Workshop

Mama’s Losin’ It

Some of my Blogging Friends have been talking about Mama Kat and her Weekly Writing Prompts and Workshops.  I decided to check it out and see exactly what its all about.  She has some great writing prompts and like everything I do I do it sporadically so I'm sure I won't be doing every writing prompt but I am intrigued by this weeks prompts.

Let me also say that I did some poking on her blog and she is AWESOME!  She is way out there and not afraid to say it like it is or lay it on the line.  Check out her IVlog  its entitled "I know there is something wrong with me. And now you do too"

Maybe I will start stalking her like she stalks Ellen?  Maybe? Will see.  I bet if I wrote about her she would respond, and we could be life long friends.

Anyways, I'm just poken fun and I am really looking forward to her writing prompts.
