Reduce Swelling or bags under your eye with Tea Bags?

Last night I noticed this bump under my eye, I slept with an icepack on my eye and well this morning I woke to a huge ass bump under my left eye.  It was so swollen that I can barely see out of my eye. Which really sucks when you put on the glasses.  So I tried everything.  Peroxide, benadryl, caladryl, nothing worked.

So I Googled ways to get ride of swollen or bags under your eyes.  Everything that I had already tried was listed, until I found a a suggestion to make myself a cup of Tea and freeze the bag and then use the frozen tea bag as an icepack. I thought what the heck might as well give it a try.  So I pack some tea in my lunch, get to work finish my mocha and make myself a cup of tea, freeze the bag and about an hour later wrap the tea bag in a pater towel and hold it on the swollen eye for about 5 minutes and take a look at it and WOW it had taken the swelling from 1/2 of it.  I put it back in the freezer and tried it again while my lunched warmed up and again it reduced the swelling!

So if you ever need to get ride of swelling under your eyes, make yourself a cup of tea, put the tea bag in the freezer while you relax.  Then pull it out and hold it on the swollen spot for a few minutes and the swelling will go down.

I like AVEDA tea but I'm sure any tea will do the trick.

  3. Good idea. However, based on eye cream reviews, it is important for you to know that the area surrounding your eyes is more sensitive than the other parts of your face.
